As the end of term approaches please could all outstanding dinner monies be paid in full by Friday 21st July at the latest. The Local Education Authority has asked us to reiterate the importance of paying any outstanding dinner monies on time.
The correct procedure should be to pay dinner money in advance and to pay on the school gateway or place the money in a named envelope and given to your child to pass to their teacher on the Monday of the week they have dinners.
An envelope showing what is outstanding will be given to your child today. If you have any queries please contact the office.
Many thanks for your co-operation.
Just a quick note to let you know that we are expecting a delivery of book bags in September due to the change in the school logo.
There will be a change of menu next Thursday 20th July.
The children will be having Sausage with Mashed Potatoes and Leeks with Beans or Peas, followed by Jelly and Ice Cream.
Just a quick reminder for anyone who has not already done so, to return any sponsor money to school as soon as possible please.
I am writing on behalf of the school and the Governing Body as we are concerned to hear that a small number of families are making enquiries regarding moving children to Ysgol Cybi in September. Whilst we accept that parental choice is premium, one of the main factors seems to be that Ysgol Cybi have a 3 term entry, that is children can enter school in September, January and April following their 3rd birthday, and that this is especially favourable for families with pre school children.
We feel it is vital to inform you that the Governing Body of St Mary's School has written to the Local Education Authority with the intention of consulting to introduce the same admission system here in the future.
We feel that it is also important to highlight that St Mary's school has a proven track record of achieving high standards, not only academically but more importantly in achieving the Catholic ethos where every child is valued as an individual as part of God's family. It is not something you can quantify with numbers and statistics but it is something that every single visitor to our school comments upon.
We trust that you will keep an open dialogue with the school, and the Governing body will inform you immediately once we are in a position to move to a 3 term entry.
Thank you for your continued support.

The weather is looking favourable for tomorrow, therefore we will be going ahead with Sports Day and the Summer Fair.
We would be grateful if all those who have offered to bake cakes, biscuits etc. could drop them off at school tomorrow morning if possible.
Any volunteers for helping with the stalls and setting up, if you could be available straight after sports day.
we are reviewing the school photography contract at the moment. This year the photos were taken by Kittle Photography. They were certainly the cheapest contract offered to us however we had one or two complaints especially regarding the individual and family photos last autumn.
The alternative is Tempest Photography, whilst more expensive, seem to be provide quality photos.
I would value your input. Please let us know if you would rather
1. Stick with Kittle Photography package, or
2. move back to Tempest Photography which is a slightly more expensive option.
Don't forget your PE kits tomorrow Thursday 6th July to take part in the sponsored ‘How many miles can your class run?’ fundraiser .
The event will be held in class time. If it is sunny, please ensure your child has a sun hat and are already protected with sun cream. Also extra drinks will be required (no fizzy drinks or glass bottles).
Please may we ask that you return the sponsor form and money raised to school by Friday 14th July.
Please note that Urdd will be cancelled until September due to a meeting and 'Meet the Teacher Day'.
